About Eastside
Eastside Oklahoma City starts from East of Walker Avenue and extends to the North of 4th Street. This area has the most number of African American residents in the entire OKC. Eastside is home to some excellent restaurants, bars and even breweries. Dining in the area is a superb experience. There are a number of affordable restaurants that offer wonderful, home cooking atmosphere. Travelers would appreciate the impeccable meals, courteous service, relaxing ambiance and reasonable prices that the dining places offer. If one is searching for an exciting nightlife in Eastside, there are a number of bars and cozy restaurants near the place that open way after bedtime. The animated nightlife is just one of its popular activities. Shopping is another. With its several shopping centers, it will be easy to find some memorabilia or unique items to buy. Hotels in the district are conveniently located close to the attractions such as the African American museum and the Oklahoma History Center. The Eastside OKC is known for its historical significance as the civil rights battleground in the 1900s. With various railroads operating in the place around that time, it is of little wonder that it was also known as a historic crossroads of commerce in the early 20th century in OKC. Today, the growing number of shopping, dining places, bars and hotels in the place heralds an economic renaissance in Eastside Oklahoma City. It boasts of a number of developments in the area. It will not be long that this growing district will once again be a force to reckon with.
