About Northwest OKC
Northwest Oklahoma City is a neighborhood where there are a plenty of amenities to enjoy. This district is primarily a commercial area and can be reached by taking the Northwest Expressway, which is part of Oklahoma State Highway 3. There are numerous hotels, restaurants and bars in Northwest OKC. Two of the hotels in the area are the affordable La Quinta Inn & Suites and the Hampton Inn. Restaurants in Northwest OKC serve everything from pasta, seafood, steak, Italian, Mexican and many other types of delectable cuisines. There are a number of fast food restaurants in the area as well for those who need a quick bite! Northwest Oklahoma City has quite a few places to experience the city?s nightlife. Among the most popular of venues around town would be the many establishments that offer live music and karaoke. Places to shop in the area include several outlet centers and a frequented mall. 50 Penn Place is one of the area?s most popular shopping centers, where some specialty stores are located. There are department stores, smaller shops and restaurants at Penn Square Mall that can make for a lovely day of both shopping and dining. Outdoor lovers can enjoy spending time at Lake Hefner in Northwest Oklahoma City. Joggers, walkers and bicycle riders can take the trails around the lake as well. This lake has places for picnic areas, fishing and boating offering a relaxing and tranquil day for all. Lake Overholser is also in Northwwest Oklahoma City. Although fishing is allowed on this lake, jet skis and boats are also permitted, which is important to keep in mind when deciding what type of atmosphere is desired for a day on the lake.
